the client
Singer/songwriter Drew Vezey required a redesign of his website to showcase and market his work. A great fan of Paul Weller, he wanted us to come up with a Rock/Indie feel.
the brief
Drew wanted users of his website to sample his music. The website needed to address the best solution for him and his users, and to be available in both English and Spanish.
the response
Rather than giving visitors mp3 files to download, we created small Flash movies and embedded 30 second soundclips into the animations.
The user has a small interface to stop, start & rewind the movie.
The rationale is that, as web consumers are notoriously impatient, an immediate, engaging way for visitors to sample the music becomes paramount.
